Understand the technical requirements of anti-static floor

Anti-static raised floors are essential in environments where static electricity can cause damage to sensitive equipment. They are commonly used in computer rooms, data centers, laboratories, microwave communication stations, program-controlled telephone exchange rooms, mobile communication facilities, satellite ground stations, radio control rooms, TV transmission control rooms, broadcast control rooms, monitoring rooms, central control rooms, and more. These floors not only help dissipate static but also provide a clean, organized space for cabling and equipment installation.

The technical requirements for installing an anti-static raised floor are crucial to ensure proper functionality and safety. First, the ground must be properly prepared. The original subfloor should be leveled, and any debris or uneven areas should be removed. If the surface is relatively flat, use a shovel to clear the area and make it smooth for the next steps.

Next, the layout needs to be planned carefully. Based on the room's dimensions and the placement of equipment, the floor modules should be arranged according to a suitable pattern. Key principles include: if there are no control cabinets or other obstructions, the floor should be laid from the inside out, aligning with the modular size. If the room’s dimensions don’t match the floor module, find the center points in both directions and assess the difference. If the difference is small, lay from the outside inward; if large, use a symmetrical grid and lay from the inside out. When holes need to be left for equipment, the laying direction and sequence should be carefully considered. Finally, determine the required height based on design specifications, and mark the lines on both the floor and walls to guide the installation process.

After the layout is finalized, the installation of adjustable brackets and beams begins. These brackets should be placed according to the height markings on the walls and the base floor. The beams are then positioned on the ground, and each bracket is adjusted to the correct height. Once level, all nuts should be tightened to form a stable network of supports.

The actual flooring installation comes next. Each movable floor panel is placed and adjusted to ensure a smooth and tight fit at all four corners. If the panels don’t match the required modulus, they can be cut to size, ensuring a precise fit. The cut pieces must be properly trimmed and fitted with the appropriate adjustable brackets and beams for stability.

Finally, the anti-static grounding system must be installed after the floor is fully in place. This connection should meet the design specifications and construction standards to ensure effective static dissipation. Proper grounding is critical to maintaining the performance and safety of the entire system.
