Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute recently purchased the Hongzhan LP-225U temperature and humidity test chamber for high and low temperature alternating testing.
Established in 1958, Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute is a leading institution specializing in power engineering surveys and design. The institute holds several prestigious certifications, including a comprehensive Class A certificate from the Ministry of Construction, a Grade A certificate for power engineering design, a Class A certificate for power engineering consulting, and a Grade A certificate for electric power engineering general contracting, as well as a Grade B certificate for environmental impact assessment.
The institute is capable of designing power generation projects across various energy sources, as well as power transmission and transformation projects with voltage levels up to 500kV. Over the years, it has completed approximately 40–50 power generation projects, 562 substation designs (including 7500 MVA capacity for 500kV substations), and 728 transmission line designs, with over 2000 km of 500kV lines designed. Around 103 of its projects have received national, provincial, and ministerial awards for excellence in survey and design and technological achievements.
In 1994, Yunnan Electric Power Design Institute was ranked among the top seven survey and design units in Yunnan Province. In 1996, it was selected as one of the "Top 100 National Survey and Design Comprehensive Strength Units." It also passed the ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification in 1997 and was promoted to a national-level scientific and technological undertaking archives management unit in 1999. In 2002, it ranked 29th in national engineering project management and 89th in engineering general contracting, both within the top 100. The institute has consistently been recognized as a "Civilized Unit" in Yunnan since 1996 and won the "Double Civilized Unit" title from Yunnan Power Group Corporation in 2003, followed by the "Civilized Unit" award from China Southern Power Grid Corporation in 2004.
