The types of modern radiators are categorized based on the materials used, and there are four main categories:

According to some estimates, over 70 radiator manufacturers and sellers operate in Beijing, while more than 200 are active in Tianjin. Most of these companies specialize in producing the three most common types of radiators. As a result, the Beijing-Tianjin region has emerged as a major production hub for new radiator technologies. Nearby, many companies in Shandong also produce innovative radiator models.
Historically, China had two major radiator production bases. One was in Qingxu County, Taiyuan, Shanxi, known for gray cast iron radiators, which once accounted for over 70% of the national output. While the popularity of new radiators has reduced its share, it still dominates the cast iron radiator market. The other base was in Heilongjiang Province, particularly in Daqing and Acheng, where steel finned tube radiators were mainly produced. However, with the rise of high-quality, low-cost welded finned tubes from Shanxi’s Niangziguan area, this region is rapidly gaining ground and may soon replace Heilongjiang as the new center for finned tube radiators.
The Beijing-Tianjin region is considered China's new radiator production base not only because of the large number of companies but also due to their strong market presence. Out of the six radiator companies that have invested over 100 million yuan in China (including Sunde, Beixin, Jintaige, Reiterge, Spring Breeze, and Enthusiastic), four are located in the Beijing-Tianjin area. Sunde, one of the leading radiator companies, has achieved sales of over 100 million yuan in China and is based in Beijing. Additionally, four out of the five major radiator companies with advanced production technology, automation, and mechanization (Beixin, Sunde, Jintag, Reitge, and Changzhi 7445) are located in this region.
Beijing remains the largest radiator market in China. Therefore, the Beijing-Tianjin region is not only a key production base for new radiators but also a comprehensive hub that gathers top enterprises, leading products, and large-scale professional retailers.
