Introducing a fast setting method

In the conventional gear broken tooth repair method, the insert method is used more. This method needs to remove the gear from the equipment, machine the broken gear teeth, machine the dovetail groove at the broken tooth, and then insert the gear teeth. And fixed with screws and pins. For gears with thin rims, it is relatively difficult to machine the dovetail groove. The dovetail groove is too shallow, meaning little; too deep, it may cause local stress concentration of the gear rim and reduce gear life.

Recently, an old-fashioned large-scale mechanical press large gear of our company's frame factory has broken teeth. The gear is made of cast iron and the rim is thin. It is not interchangeable with other manufacturers. The original manufacturer does not exist for some reason. Suitable spare parts, long production cycle, can not meet the urgent needs of production, we use a new type of insert method (fast insert method), to better solve this problem.

First, the steps are as follows:

1. Remove the gear guard cover and clean the oil on the broken teeth; 2. Make 7 cylindrical pin holes on the gear, pay attention to the arrangement position of the holes, the edge of the outermost hole is 15mm from the outer edge, and the holes on both sides of the center hole 1mm from the spoke, the middle pin hole depth is twice the tooth height, processing 7 cylindrical pins 1 short, 6 long, 35# steel; 3. Between the cylindrical pins is the same size as the normal tooth shape 20# steel block, the inside of the rim is inlaid into the rectangular 20# steel block; 4. The cylindrical pin and the steel block are welded by J422 welding rod, the temperature is strictly controlled to prevent the temperature of the gear welding from being too high; 5. The tooth shape of the welded body is repaired, And the meshing test with the pinion, observe the contact situation; Second, the effect:

1. The press resumes normal use within two days without removing the large gear; 2. Contact of large and small gears: 80% along the tooth length direction, 30% along the tooth height direction, and the meshing sound of the large and small gears is normal, saving The cost is more than 30,000 yuan. After more than a year of use, the inlaid teeth are still strong.
