Several steps to install the sound barrier

On highways, particularly in urban areas, you’ll notice soundproofing barriers lining both sides. These are essential due to the significant noise generated by the constant flow of vehicles. As traffic increases, installing highway sound barriers becomes crucial for reducing noise pollution. Here’s a detailed look at how these barriers are installed: Step 1: Begin by clearing the construction area and ensuring the surface of the concrete crash barrier is free of debris. Inspect all high-strength chemical anchor bolts embedded in the concrete, making sure they’re intact and applying corrosion-resistant treatments to them. Step 2: Identify the exact placement for the highway sound barrier. Once the upright poles are precisely set up, construct the base at the top of the crash barrier as per specifications. This base serves as the foundation for the entire sound barrier system, similar to the groundwork for any structure. Step 3: Erect the upright poles, welding together the H-shaped steel vertical poles (including the H-shaped steel, flange base plate, inner reinforcement plate, and outer reinforcement plate). Secure this assembly using high-strength chemical anchors in the concrete crash barrier. Adjust the poles for proper height, vertical alignment, and spacing, then tighten them with M20 nuts to ensure they remain perpendicular to the ground post-construction. Step 4: Next, focus on constructing the highway sound barrier screens. With the H-shaped steel vertical poles correctly installed, use a crane or scaffolding to slightly lift the shutters off the ground. Attach an auxiliary safety suspension device to carefully lower the sound-insulating or transparent sound-insulating screens into the grooves of the H-shaped steel poles. Lift the screens to the desired height, remove the auxiliary suspension device, and position them at their final height. Weld the H-shaped steel poles to the base securely, ensuring compliance with standards. Adjust the sound insulation or transparent panels to their final positions and calibrate the spring tension to stabilize the screens. Check for any gaps to ensure a snug fit. Step 5: Upon completion, inspect all components of the highway sound barrier for any gaps or issues. Safety remains a priority throughout the process, especially when working at heights. Finally, install additional components like sound-absorbing boards and soundproofing panels to enhance the barrier's effectiveness. By following these steps, we can effectively reduce noise pollution on busy roads, providing quieter environments for people living nearby while maintaining structural integrity and safety during construction.
