December 20, 2015 in Shenzhen Guangming New landslide disaster shocked the nation, since this disaster happened receiving the report to verify the total number of personnel lost contact with 77 people. 58 victims were found at the scene . After investigation, the collapsed body in Shenzhen Guangguangming New District was artificially piled up and the original mountain body did not slide. The collapsed site belongs to the silt and soil storage site and mainly contains muck and construction waste. Due to the large amount of accumulation, many buildings collapsed.

The Shenzhen landslide said that disasters are essentially man-made disasters. Therefore, for the common landslides in cities, scientific management measures should be established to prevent such accidents from happening again.

First, slope management measures

1. To establish and improve the slope management system, establish a slope monitoring system, establish full-time institutions, and personnel to manage slopes.

2. Strengthen surface water management, improve the Quaternary gushing drainage system, prevent slope water from infiltrating the slope, and strictly prohibit slope surface water from flowing along the slope.

3. Establish a temporary deformation monitoring line for the slope in the non-stable area, and perform necessary deformation prediction or landslide forecasting.

4. During the rainy season, strengthen the slope inspection and encryption deformation observation.

5. Formulate landslide emergency rescue plan.

6. A long-term monitoring system for slope stability shall be established in production to monitor the deformation and damage of the slope and prevent the occurrence of undesirable engineering geological phenomena.
