Typically, one kilogram of dust is used per acre, and each treatment lasts around five minutes. Second, the best time to spray. The ideal time for dusting is in the early morning or late evening when pests are less active. At this time, the insects haven't fully emerged or have just returned to their hiding places, increasing the deposition rate of the powder on the crops. Avoid spraying during midday on sunny days, but it’s safe to apply dust on cloudy days at any time. After dusting, turn on the ventilation system approximately two hours later. Initially, spray once every 7–10 days depending on the disease situation. Before starting, make sure all vents and doors of the greenhouse are closed, and the plastic covering is properly sealed. Start from the inner end of the greenhouse, stand on the aisle facing away from the north wall, and spray while moving backward toward the door, closing it upon exit. If there is leftover dust, insert the powder pipe into the upper air vent and continue spraying until all powder is used. (2) In greenhouses, the left-right swing spray method is recommended. Begin at the northern end, stand on the aisle, and spray left and right while retreating toward the southern exit, then close the door. (3) For small and medium-sized arch sheds, use the shed-out spraying method. Uncover part of the shed on one or both sides, insert the powder pipe, and spray while swinging the nozzle left and right. Avoid spraying directly along the plant rows, as this may lead to uneven coverage. Observe safety procedures while handling pesticides—wear long-sleeved overalls, goggles, a mask, and a protective cap. After spraying, leave the greenhouse promptly and wash your face, hands, and rinse your mouth with water to ensure safety.
