Suntech Solar Panels Used in Siemens Solar Engineering

International Energy Network News: According to a Reuters news release on January 27, Siemens stated on Thursday that Siemens, a large German engineering company, will use solar panels manufactured by China Suntech in some European solar power projects.

Despite the German-based home of several major solar panel manufacturers in the world, Chinese manufacturers have already borrowed low-cost solar panels to enter the German and European markets. Germany is the world’s largest solar power generation country due to the government’s generous promotion of renewable energy development.

The installed capacity of solar power plants built by Siemens in six European countries totals more than 80 MW.

The cooperation between Siemens and Shanghai may eventually extend to countries and regions outside of Europe.

Suntech Europe's Jerry Stokes pointed out that Siemens' international performance has helped joint venture projects in Europe and other parts of the world.
