Sharp will launch five new transparent solar module products on July 31, 2013. The company had released the first product of the transparent solar cell module "NA-B095AA" in September 2012.
"NA-B07A/B" is used for balcony railings in apartments to achieve miniaturization.
The transparent solar cell module is made by processing thin trenches on a thin film silicon solar cell, and is characterized in that although the trenched portion cannot generate power, the module conversion efficiency is reduced, but power generation and lighting can be taken into consideration. The goal is to place solar cell modules in places such as balcony rails, windows, curtain walls, and eaves, where the glass is usually installed.
Among Sharp's five new products, the NA-B07A and NA-B07B are smaller than the original NA-B095AA and can be used for open-ended apartment fences that emphasize ventilation. These two products will improve the anti-static performance to about 1.9 times that of NA-B095AA and can be installed in high-rise apartments.
There are products with an opening ratio of 10% and 20%.
In addition, NA-B11A and NA-B11B are designed to support a 1200mm column distance widely used by the Japanese construction industry, and are designed to be 1150mm wide, taking into consideration the width of wiring and window frames that connect multiple modules. Both products can be used for curtain walls and skylights installed in the ceiling.
Moreover, in the five products, NA-B07A and NA-B11A will give top priority to power generation, the aperture ratio will be 10%, and the remaining three products will give priority to transmission, and the aperture ratio is 20%.
