According to local media reports, crude oil pipelines from Dingbian to Jingbian in Shaanxi Province leaked at approximately 4 a.m. on the 24th. At 6 a.m. in the morning, line officers reported that they had leaked crude oil and reported to higher authorities.

The reporter called the relevant department of the extended oil group several times yesterday and no one answered the call. Industry insiders commented that the prolonged oil spills frequently caused pollution and repeatedly contaminated forest land and arable land. Poor management of enterprises was the primary reason for oil spills to become “unresolved”.

Leakage into "diseases"

A person in charge of the extended oil pipeline transportation company said that after investigation, it was confirmed that someone had stolen crude oil and caused the leak. When these people stole oil, they installed valves on the oil pipeline. Because of the pressure of the pipeline, the valve could not withstand the pipeline. Pressure caused the oil to leak.

A person in charge of oil spill rescue also said that due to the cold weather, crude oil leaked soon after the leak, so most of the leaked crude oil did not infiltrate. At present, the main task is to remove the sludge, and then the sludge will be transported to a qualified treatment plant for processing. The frozen crude oil will then be transported to the oil production plant for centralized treatment.

Whether it is stealing or other causes of oil spills, it has appeared many times around the pipeline that extends oil. Moreover, Yanchang Petroleum Group itself has almost never actively disclosed oil spill accidents, and the oil spill has become a “caught illness”.

According to reports, due to the prolonged oil spills, "bring oil" has become a local business. A bag of oil 100 pounds, can sell 60 yuan. Local villagers said in September this year that there have been 11 oil spills in this year's extension of oil.

Informed sources told reporters that due to local government support, Yanchang Petroleum Group’s relations with local villagers are not very good due to environmental protection and surrounding public construction issues. The phenomenon of villagers stealing oil also occurs from time to time. The extension of the oil production plant seems to have formed a tacit agreement with the villagers, and sometimes it is willing to recycle the villagers' “oil”.

“The Yanchang Petroleum Group has a strong regional nature and could have been more in harmony with local relations than it is now facing serious theft of oil.” Professor Liu Yijun of the Institute of Business Administration of China University of Petroleum said that the company should actively integrate into local economic development. Poor management

In addition to oil spills caused by thefts, the primary reason for the prolonged oil spills is considered to be mismanagement.

An insider of Yanchang Petroleum Group once told the media that the most important reason for frequent oil spills is the quality problems of oil pipelines. The general underground oil pipelines can be used for a period of ten years, but some of the pipelines used to extend oil operations are built two or three years ago. Frequent oil spill accidents occurred. The source said: “I think there is a quality problem in the pipeline, which is a loophole in the management of the oil plant.”

"The leakage of pipelines can be reduced by improving corporate management." Liu Yijun said that if companies invest more in monitoring equipment and technology for pipelines, strengthen inspections, and improve relations with surrounding people, they can effectively avoid oil leakage accidents. . However, it is not easy to completely eradicate oil spill accidents, and companies need to strengthen management in all aspects.

Environmentalists questioned the prolonged occurrence of oil leakage but concealed failures. Chang Cheng, the person in charge of public participation in the Friends of Nature, stated that after an oil spill accident, the company should disclose information in a timely manner, disclose the degree of impact of the accident to the government and the public, and compensate relevant parties who have been damaged.

According to public information, the repeated oil spill accidents that have caused the oil to extend have seriously polluted the local water quality, forest land, and arable land.
