Fruit tree summer spray, keep in mind four points

Spraying pesticides on fruit trees is a common practice aimed at preventing and controlling pests and diseases, with the ultimate goal of producing high-quality and high-yield fruits. However, during grassroots interviews, reporters discovered that many farmers suffer unnecessary losses due to improper pesticide application methods. To address this issue, the reporter spoke with Shi Chunxi, a researcher from the College of Plant Protection at Northwest A&F University, who provided expert guidance for growers. Shi Chunxi emphasized that there are several important taboos when it comes to spraying pesticides, especially on fruit trees. He outlined four key points that all farmers should follow carefully to avoid mistakes and ensure effective pest control. First, spraying should not be done during high temperatures. In summer, many fruit trees enter their young fruit stage, and Shi warned farmers against applying pesticides during hot periods. There are three main reasons for this: high temperatures cause rapid evaporation of water, increasing the concentration of the pesticide solution and raising the risk of phytotoxicity. Additionally, high heat can speed up the decomposition of the pesticide, reducing its effectiveness. Finally, spraying in high temperatures increases the volatility of the chemicals, which can lead to poisoning of the workers. Second, farmers should not blindly increase the concentration of pesticides. Many tend to believe that stronger concentrations will result in better pest control. However, Shi pointed out that this is a common misconception. Using excessive amounts of pesticide can actually harm the plants and reduce the overall effectiveness of the treatment. He advised farmers to follow the recommended concentrations and avoid overuse to prevent damage caused by high concentrations. Third, the choice of water used for mixing pesticides is also crucial. Farmers should avoid using cold well water or sewage. Well water often contains minerals like calcium and magnesium, which can react with the pesticide solution and form sediments, reducing its efficacy. Moreover, using cold water can shock the plants, similar to how people feel after taking a cold shower in hot weather. Sewage, on the other hand, contains impurities that may clog nozzles and destabilize the pesticide mixture, further decreasing its effectiveness. Fourth, the selection of pesticides must be done carefully. Shi advised farmers to choose products that are efficient, low in toxicity, have minimal residue, and are environmentally friendly. For example, when spraying before apple bagging, he recommended avoiding pesticides containing heavy metals, as they can cause fruit rust. Instead, he suggested using water-based formulations such as water suspensions, emulsions, microemulsions, or water dispersants. By following these guidelines, farmers can significantly improve the effectiveness of their pesticide use while minimizing risks to both crops and human health. Macor Ceramic Ring

High temperature resistant glass ceramic ring is a new material developed with the application of new processes such as sintering and sol-gel methods in the preparation of glass ceramics. When high temperature resistant crystals such as mullite, spinel, garnet are precipitated in the glass ceramic and the content is high, the material can withstand high temperatures. For example, in the garnet glass ceramic, not only the high temperature resistant crystallites but also some mullite crystals are precipitated, and the residual glass phase is surrounded by crystals, which can be used at a high temperature of about 1400 °C.
