The fastest speed of spacecraft - electric solar sail

Electricity, solar energy, and wind energy, when they come together, create the world's fastest man-made electric-electric solar wind sail (ESAIL).

First of all, talk about the source of its driving force - the solar wind, which is a stream of plasma particles ejected from the surface of the sun at high speed, with which ESAIL no longer needs any other propellant.

Looking at the composition of the miniature sail ESAIL, on a giant circular array, a bundle of elongated metal tethers is unfurled. The solar electron gun at the center holds the metal tether at a higher potential due to the repulsion of homosexuality. The particles in the solar wind will push the sailboat away from the sun. Pushing this way, ESAIL is estimated to be able to reach Pluto in 5 years!
According to the researchers' estimates, a complete ESAIL weighs only 100 kilograms, but it can produce a continuous Newtonian impulse. In some missions, ESAIL's performance is 100 to 1000 times greater than current chemical rockets or ion engines. At the same time, since ESAIL itself is light and the principles of flight have been tested in the universe, it is conceivable that making an ESAIL-powered spacecraft is not out of reach. Someone predicts that after flying for a year, it should be able to reach a speed of 19 miles per second, which is 3,0578 m/s!

The working principle of ESAIL was invented by a researcher named Pekka Janhunen of the Finnish Meteorological Institute in 2006. From this time on December 8th, the EU “Electric Sail Project Launch Conference” came from Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Germany and Italy. The space scientists and engineers are more specific to this research project that will last for three years, to develop specific implementation plans. The European Union has invested nearly 2.25 million euros in this project with the goal of building a prototype of a laboratory that can make a key component of the electric sail. In the eyes of the European Union, ESAIL will be the best potential player to achieve the goal of making people approach the edge of the solar system in a quick and cost-effective manner.
